Trainers
The Armed Forces section of AWHONN includes a geographically diverse membership. Regardless of where we are located, continuing education is an integral part of our profession. The purpose of this page is to let the membership know which members are available to come to your facility to educate staff members on a wide range of topics. Many times these members can also train the staff to become instructors for their facility.

We are looking for the following

  • FHMPP instructors/instructor trainers
  • Neonatal Resuscitation instructors/trainers
  • RTS Bereavement trainers
  • ALSO course instructors
  • STABLE course instructors.

There are certainly other educational offerings available—tell us who you are and what you like to teach!

If you are an educator or instructor trainer and would like to have your name and email listed on this site, please contact Major Becky Cypher at RLCJumper@aol.com.

About the S.T.A.B.L.E Program
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is the first neonatal outreach education program to focus exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick newborns. This valuable, accessible and easy-to-remember mnemonic-based resource serves as a concise guideline to organize the myriad of details and interventions necessary for stabilizing a sick infant. STABLE picks up where NRP leaves off. The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program involves an eight-hour interactive didactic presentation by an expert in neonatal nursing or medicine. The program is offered at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB as well as other facilities.
